Hello! My name is Bethany and I LOVE to travel! The passion to explore everything the world has to offer was instilled in me as a little girl. I grew up going on Spring Break road trips with my family to New Mexico and Colorado and taking summer road trips to various places in our home state of Texas. As I got older, the need to take new adventures became a constant nagging sensation that I had to follow.

After graduating high school, I went to college at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. I originally wanted to study petroleum engineering, but after doing a summer internship in North Dakota, I realized the oil field wasn’t for me. I wanted the freedom to go wherever, not just where the oil was. So I started studying computer engineering, but would realize later that it didn’t really fit me either.

But I stuck it out and graduated with a computer engineering degree. I wanted to do something else, so I got a job doing accounting for a small business where I got five weeks paid vacation every year. I was really lucky in that regard since that benefit allowed me to quench my constant desire to travel while still maintaining financial stability.

In December of 2012, I took my first ever cruise with my mom to the Caribbean. After that trip, she became my travel buddy. We have gotten to take so many incredible trips together, and I will truly cherish the moments forever. It’s definitely not always easy, but I wouldn’t go back to change anything. We have grown much closer over these past 9 years of traveling together, and I got to see a side of my mom (a more carefree side) that I hadn’t before since she was always taking care of us.

I started this blog to help people travel to the places I have traveled and to share my experiences, good or bad. By taking these trips with a limited amount of vacation time, it’s necessary to plan before going so that way I get to make sure that I experience everything I want to. When I am planning a trip, I look to other people for their tips and tricks and I want to provide that same kind of service to others. I will only write about where I’ve been and what I’ve done, so that you know you can trust the information. I hope to be able to provide y’all with the most practical advice that you can apply to your vacations because I know your time is valuable!

If that sounds like what you are looking for, then stick around and join me while I dive into my past expeditions!
